This is the kind of crap that makes me hesitate to do so much as pat a kid on the back or accept a hug. Everyone is looking for something to complain about because they know creeps like this are out there.

The year after I left my former school, one of our long-time history teachers (20+ years) was arrested on charges of child pornography. We all kinda always worried about him, but he never crossed the line with students. Analysis of his computer showed that he didn't have any images of local kids--just pics from places like Russia.

It was all very strange and odd.

Even if he isn't guilty he will never be able to live in this area again... I don't think the community will accept him even if he is cleared, which I highly doubt will happen. I guess you just can't tell about some people. I mean 32 years at a school is a long time for nothing to ever be suspected.

That ain't tenure that is just a screw up. Either the guy was good at teaching and covering his tracks for 32 years or the administration is complacent and incompetent. I would hope for the administrations sake that the former would be the case or they, as Ricky Ricardo would say, "Have some splainin to do."
