Well, hit the ski lake this morning thinking maybe with the overcast skys the topwater bight may be extended. only to find, nothing hitting topwater in open water. Moved into the Lilly Pads and took two BIG jack fish and one small bass. Moved to piers and boated 3 more small bass with a finese rigged lizard. No outstaning fish, just your average for a bass crowded lake. Probably will be putting my big butt in the canoe on the little East Lake tomorrow morning.

Is that the old Lake Shady? You can ski and fish it? I never knew that. Only used it to watch the submarine races as a teen.:kekeke:

I remember when I caught my first jackfish as a kid, it scared the crap outta me, what with all the teeth and all.

There are three types of gar the Alligator, Longnose, and Spotted, that are in Mississippi Waters. Fish Bait's young un has a 33% chance of being right when he calls the Gar Alligator!! <Grinz>.

Never heard of Paces' Point. It was Lake Shady or Richbourg Hill. Not one house on Richbourg Hill back then. Cops cruised it shining flashlights into the line of cars. Heh heh heh.

Pace's Point was a local nick name for land owned by the Pace's and Malones on the West Side of the lake. I understand it was quite the spot to watch the submarines run! A bit before my time however.
