I took the "new" boat to the Kiln Saturday evening. The motor is still having a minor issue (linkage between the 2 carbs is slipping due to a stripped out screw). Everything else on the boat worked well, and we even caught a few fish. We brought home about 30 white trout caught beneath a pier light, and I got to see my uncle lose the biggest white trout I have ever seen (22-24 inches). He thought it was a big ladyfish, and tried to swing it into the boat instead of netting it, and it came off halfway into the boat. That little incident cost him a bit of ribbing. I also asked why he would even consider swinging a ladyfish into my new boat. They bleed so bad when hooked.
The weather was wonderful, and it even got a little chilly as the cold front moved in. It won't be much longer until the bite really turns on down South! :clap:
