We might have enough fishermen on here to put together a little fruit jar tourney. Y'all sound off and I'll see about putting one together.

What's yer crewchange day, and when do you go back? Also. 7/7 or 14/14?
We'll see if it's a day when me and Fotno_ are home at the same time. More than likely he will need me to unhook all the fish he catches and open the beer.

I'm not much of a fisherman, but I like to be in a boat and I like to drink beer....I'll hold of y'all's beer while y'all fish.....I can also be the judge or referee to make sure fotno isn't using any explosives to catch his fish....

I may be able to go, if my wife is off that weekend. Or I may can bring the kids. Let me know the date, and I'll see what I can do. But my poor little boat hasn't been in freshwater in over 2 years. It likes to hunt redfish more than bass.

I'm interested, but my boat needs to go to the shop. So I'd have to get in a boat with somebody else, though, I do have a leaky johnboat.......

Nope, I'm a country girl....but I had 3 big brothers and I was the only girl. We older gals in the south aren't dumb....just bat a few eyelashes, play helpless, and cook a good pot of turnip greens, and you would be surprised what you could accomplish....

I have a boat but Southchic will probably claim the 2nd chair LOL!!! No livewell RG so I can't keep them alive. I really hate fishing in Paul B, but the only other suggestion I have is Turkey Fork. Any other suggestions?

Hey Bluesman! You can fish with me, if there aren't any rules about not picking your partner...if we have to draw partners, then you may be out of luck (as will whomever gets drawn to fish with me) I just hope my partner brings a lighter (for the fuses) :smt118

If I were home, I would show ya'll how to fish! Fish bait, you might have the biggest stringer, but I will have the most and biggest fish!
Alright RG, bait, artificial lures or anything goes?

Waiting on y'all to set the rules.......I'm a bass fisherman, so I'm use to artificial but whatever y'all say goes.

When you decide were, when, and the details please PM me. My fiance' loves to fish. He was fishing the tournements at Black Creek on Tuesday and Paul B. on Thursday, but work was interferring. He said Paul B. sucked because they have recently fertilized the lake. What about Black Creek?
RGDoherty
09-27-2007, 08:41 AM
The dead sea is what I call it........Paul B's fertilization program is why it grows bigger fish.

Here is an idea...The fishing will begin on a Saturday Morning. I know in real life bass tournaments they don't keep any fish, but this isn't a real life tournament that's sanctioned or sponsored or anything.......Therefore.
Start Sat. Morning.
Finish/weigh in at DonanElle's at 4-5 p.m. (with their permission)
Try to keep fish alive (I'll get to the rest in a minute)
No froze fish.........
Largemouths only, no spotted bass......
All alive fish will be donated to me to stock my empty pond (it's got alot of little redbellies though)
5 p.m. is the cut-off time. Payout is at 6 p.m.
Free Beer for 1st and second place (i'll buy if I get to participate in the tournament RG will buy if I am not there because this tourn. is his idea anyway...hehhee)
10$ in the jar at weigh in and it's winner take all.
The most important thing....Fish wherever you want too! Just show up for the weigh in.
Ya'll think we can make this happen or is it a bad idea. I think it sorta evens the playin' field for everyone....
RGDoherty
09-28-2007, 02:30 PM
No Spots????? Oh I see you don't want them in your pond......Any particular water? or fish wherever you want 5 fish limit, honor system? Let's leave the money out and make it a braggin rights Tournament, and just have the excuse to fish and weigh in at Don's!
RGDoherty
09-28-2007, 02:32 PM
But, we need to partner people up.....Like I said, boats and no boaters, draw partners no picking, then we all keep ourselves honest.......Gotta tell ya, whoever I draw will be fishing Lake Eddins.

Start at safe light, fish until whenever as long as you are at Donanelle's by a 18:00 weigh-in......(IS THIS O.K. HAWK???) Beers and Braggin to follow. A Saturday Morning.....So Guru, Fotno, need to say yea or nay on the date.

She don't fish much:smt102
She used to go with me alot. Until we made a rough trip to the isles and the next week she found out she was 3 or 4 weeks pregnant. No more bumby boat rides for the next 6 years....So now that our child makin' days are prolly over I think I could talk her into it, but she just don't fish. She just likes to look at stuff and she talks....dam, she talks and talks and talks......breaks my concentration. May have to put her butt up on the bank in the shade-chair with a book or somethin' if she starts that crap....:smt118

Think about this...it's easy for you men if you have to go...I think that's the number one reason I don't like to go fishing in a boat.....That and the fact that you men NEVER GIVE UP!. If they are not biting, they are not biting and there is no use wasting your time....

09-28-2007, 09:21 PM
WoooooooEEEE countrygirl, better be glad you didn't say that to Al Lindner! He'll get on ya and give you a two hour lecture on fish always bite, you just have to locate them and present them a bait the way they want it! I fish 12 months a year, you have to follow the fish with the water temp changes and food supply relocations then you'll catch fish.

Hmmm....I can stand on my deck and usually tell you if the fish are biting in my pond...of course unless you are an expert, which I'm not. I have had one "expert" fish the pond and he caught a couple when I didn't think he would, but I'm not too good and for me, if they are not biting, they are not biting!
