Tonight, on my way home, a group of a@@holes were in the street. They were walking up back toward Brownstones. 4 abreast. Just as I got close enough, they kind of moved over, so when I split the two lanes I could get past them. Then one of them threw a napkin on my windshield. Before I knew it, I was out of the car, yelling and cussing at them as they walked away. I was out for blood. I swear, if one of them would have come back, I may have actually tried to kick their asses right there in the street. I'd probably have lost, but I had anger on my side...
WTF is it with people? That was one of the most disrespectful things I'd ever had happen to me. I'm still a little pissed about it. They're lucky it wasn't some of the local doughboys who might not have shown any restraint... I know a few who'd kick your ass just for looking at them funny.

You should have made a citizens arrest for littering. Face it, some people are just indecent people and no matter what happens-they will not change. I am glad you didn't get into it with them too bad. Always remember that if you don't know who you are dealing with, they could be psychotic and also have a weapon. Try to shake it off and realize you done the "best man" thing. Which means you actually come out on top. Who knows, maybe they spent most of their night wandering if the man they did this to was hiding around the corner somewhere waiting to kick their a$$es. Let's hope that is just what happened-they ruined your evening and maybe theirs was ruined too. You get what you give!

Well, technically the napkin' thrower. If'n the napkin' had mucous on it and said thrower happen to been infected with a virus (such as, but not limited to hepatitis-C ) this could be classified as simple assault and Said victim of napkin assault could file charges under Mississippi Law.:smt102

If you are gonna come on here and talk smack I will advise you to get your ducks in a row. I don't care if CB's complaint was about napkin throwing. If you are gonna throw trash throw it in the trash can. Not someone's car, not on the ground. The aggressor was the napkin thrower. If that person would have thrown it in the trash then the incident would not have happened. Is this over your head?

As for the people I know personally from this forum, they are all pretty much the same personalities in person as they are on the forum.
But, you bring up a good point, Downtown.

I just reread CB's post & If I interpret it correctly the napkin hurtler's were walking down the street (four abreast) blocking traffic. A rude, if not arrogant thing to do in the first place. If so, I can see why a thrown napkin would be cause for a little profanity.

Nothing else matters but the fact that a grown man took his trash and made a conscious effort to put it in his hand and throw it at someone. I can't get pass that. A grown man throwing trash. I can't see any justification of this act. Now if he was throwing it in the trash can for two points, I can see that-I am married and stranger things have happened. But what did he think the outcome of his actions would produce? My hubby would probably not like trash being thrown at him either.

Police arrested a man for throwing a napkin at a football referee, a UA Police Department report said.
Geoffrey Lynn Eaton, 47, lobbed a napkin at a referee who was being escorted to a locker room at the end of the second quarter of a football game.
Eaton resisted when an officer tried to remove him from the stadium, saying it was just a piece of paper. He was handcuffed and taken to a command post for processing.
"I knew I shouldn't have done that, but the refs suck," Eaton reportedly said later.
He was cited for disturbing the peaceful conduct of an educational institution and was then ejected from Arizona Stadium.
You can definitely get arrested for it.

I believe the group consisted of 3 drinking age, under 30 year old guys, and one girl. May have been 2 girls and 1 guy, but I'm pretty sure it was the first way. Walking up the street between the Boom Boom room and Brownstones. Not crossing the street, walking 4 abreast, about 3' apart, taking up both lanes. Giving no indication of moving. If anything, giving that 'I hope that jerk hits me' kind of walk up the street. I slowed down, waiting for them to get out of the way. I started to move to the left lane in order to try to give them some room to move over, when they started to finally move off to the right side. As I passed, one of them threw the napkin on my car. Still pisses me off thinking about it.
Just an a@@hole thing to do.
In fact, one of the guys I was yelling at yelled back 'It's just a napkin'. No, it's not just a napkin. It's the attitude and disrespect for others that comes with that and that act. I went to school with a@@holes like this who thought the world was their garbage can. They treated everyone like sh!t. It was a bully, 'Hey, everybody, look at me throw the napkin on the guy's car! You're right, attitude like that needs to be dealt with. Anybody acts like that is an a@@hole.
