big gator

I went on a alligator hunt this past weekend in the Pascagoula River. This was a new expierence for me and a lot of fun. To qualify, you must be drawn from a pool of applicants, go to alligator school, and have what it takes to go after the toothy dudes. I will try to post a picture. this gator was 10'6" long and weighed 245 lbs.

I am not sure but I think I learned to ski in that river. Is it the one down at Vancleave? I remember sking right over a gator once. It was between me and my cuz. She saw it, I didn't. She gave me the big jaw signal with her arms. I will say it gave a whole new meaning to staying up on the ski.

We sold this gator for $30. bucks a foot. It was 4 am when we got in and to tired to fool with it. I am still trying to figure out how to attach the pics.

Buddy was "slaloming" around a stump each time we passed it. Well, got close enough, not a stump, but a gator steaming up the edge! Many hours on that john boat w/ 25 hp. "Ms Budweiser" we called her.

We called ours Crazy Horse. It was a 14 stauter with a 50 on it. Then Johnny Bishop had a 14 ft. riveted with a 25 evinrude. I called it the Leakazoid, it had been ran up onto one too many sandbars....Man, those were the days. I think they eventually sunk the Leakazoid.:smt102

I really miss hydro-slidin' down there, you could start at the mouth of the river and go for 20 miles without turnin' around.:smt023
