Wilebill, that's too funny. But, since I work in a bank, I just hope they don't come my way!!!!:ohnoes:

I noticed that he went down S. 37th. Wondered if the traffic was as bad there as yesterday, it would've been really easy to catch him! (It took me nearly 20 min to go from USM to near Corner Market.)

Well, sure. If he had worn UMO, they would have laughed his butt right out of there.

Looks like the robber is partial to the maroon and white of Mississippi State.Probably an out of work UM alum lawyer with a huge debt trying to throw everybody off by wearing the MSU cap.

Why didn't some young guy jump him. He's was beginning to age (I ain't got nothing against being old). Surely a young man could've took him down. That's my thinking.....

He'd probably get sued by the robber for some type of injury he sustained during the takedown or something :-D

It's way past time for men to start sprouting a set of nads and doing what it takes, that's all I'm saying.......

I was in a bank once when it got robbed, to deposit my check. The robber came in and pointed a gun at everyone, including me, and demanded money. I thought he wanted mine, and I didn't have any to spare, but he just took the bank's. There was no way I was going to get into a gunfight with this guy when I didn't have a gun.
However, when he walked out of the bank with a McDonald's bag full of cash I followed him out the door and hid behind a bush so I could get a look at the getaway car and write down the tag number. The robber saw me just as they were driving off.
Based on the tag number the po-po went straight to the guy's house and arrested him as he tried to make a getaway out the back door. He didn't even get a chance to count the money. He was a dumbass anyway.

That guy must be a few cards shy of a full deck. Lives in Petal and robs a bank in Hburg. Cameras everywhere? Something does not smell right.

If I were gonna rob a bank I'd at least travel to another state.
Pissin' in your own pool is just stupid.

I "heard through the grapevine" that they've linked him to 5 or 6 more bank robberies in the area.

A friend and I were discussing this case this afternoon after we learned of the suspect's arrest. Robbing banks is not like it was in the 1930s. With cameras everywhere, up-to-the-minute news reports, and the advancements in police techniques and technology, it is beyond stupid to rob a bank in your own community - especially with no major attempt to disguise yourself. The only way a bank robbery can really work is if you travel to different areas of the country where you are not known, wear a good disguise, don't allow your vehicle to be seen or use a vehicle that is not your own, and then get out of town quick. This guy, if he is guilty, must be pretty desperate to try and get away with it near where he lives.

I'm leaning toward the dumba$$ theory. He's obviously no criminal mastermind....
