It looks like a cold front is moving in this week and we should be feeling some cooler weather FINALLY! Right now, it looks like temps will get to around 50, which is long sleeve weather but will get up to around 80 or the high 70's on Thursday and Friday so the sleeves will have to roll up. We've had some cooler nights earlier this fall with lows getting to the upper 50's, but it seems that it has been a real warm fall so far. I love the crisp feel of a cool fall morning and looks like we finally will see some. Maybe with the low around 50, it will finally be cool enough where I can see my breath!

I don't like cold weather but I am so ready for a little cool! I gotta go find some slacks though...all my good slacks got washed away in Katrina...

I like our mild winters down here in God's Country. I have friends up North that think I'm lying when I say I remember lot's of opening Christmas Presents then putting on your "Nice" shorts for dinner.

great biking weather!
This weather is perfect. Puts me in the mood for coffee or hot tea, and cuddling up with my hubby to watch a movie.

I know. I just got the porches swept off, again and I think I will mix up my homemade hot cocoa recipe. I'll be on the porch tomorrow, sitting in my rocking chair and drinking a cup of hot cocoa. Yummmm.

I got a box fan in the window, chillin' the room down so huddling under the comforter with the dog layin' on my legs feels good. We only got a few weeks of this folks enjoy it while ya can.

I love it, I love it. Warm fleece robe, thinking about some (decaf) hot tea. The gentle thunk sound of the power bill falling.
The thermometer on the Jeep read 46*F while running errands in the Burg tonight.

As an old philosopher/country store owner told me one time, "I like the temperature down to my age.." And, today, I'm cold!
I like cold weather.
I like to pass people on a motorcycle and see them get hysterical looking at me.
In the Winter it's just a good thing to get out and work on a tractor or do fencing or deal with brush piles.
I got a buddy bro that is about 75 pounds heavier than me and he is the exact opposite.
I can take the heat pretty good but love the cold.
The only thing about the cooler parts of the year is it's a downer if you had some kind of dirt work planned that day or had to dig fence holes.
I like my yard work too but the cool season means I don't have to do 3.5 acres of lawn and roadways twice a week. I get a seasonal break then. :D

I call this free weather! No climate control costs due to A/C or heater.

Yeah, but I only got one day of it. Broke down and turned on some heat.

It's against my religion to turn on the heater before November 1. I just can't do it. I may, though, drag the electric blanket out and put it on the bed. And I'm going to have to start shopping for a new down comforter. I'm afraid mine is dead. :(

There was a king-size down comforter on the bed that had the ceiling collapse on it in Katrina. I tried mightily to save the down (the comforter was too big to wash) but it turned into such a mess that I finally threw it away. Like to have killed my soul. I did save enough down for a small pillow. Got another one, and that plus two large cats are fairly warm at night.

I made it until 7:00 last night before finally turning on the heat. I was freezing, I guess I just didn't have enough time between summer and winter to get my body adjusted.

Fully aware that my gas bill with skyrocket, I haven't turned the heat on yet either!
I missed the news this evening and tonight, but the last I heard it was going to start warming up.
