Here is another one of a doe who appears to still be carrying a yearling. Unusual for her to be carrying in September.

Pea gravel.:-D

In the first pic I had a friend who lives on about 10 acres. He kept tellin' me that he had deer all over the place so I went and bought a sack of pea gravel and poured it out. Deer love that stuff.:-D There are some really poor deer in that area...I'll post a pic of a ribbed out nanny. Man those deer needed some grub........

The other pics are some I downloaded for someone. I know about where their huntin' spot is.....The bigger one in velvet's pic was taken in the fall of 2004 I believe. He was killed last year and was a 10 pt. and had lost a little mass or his rack wasn't quite as big as it was in the pic, but still pretty impressive....

that reminds me.. my dad has a pic of a 12pt in Clarke Co. on our land at 1:30pm from a week ago... he too was fond of the pea gravel.

Maybe i'll see him between the crosshairs in a few weeks.

I don't hunt over it. It definitely helps cut the time down though when you scout. I am not a fan of the citation if you know what I mean. They need to let everone corn em' IMO. If you don't and the people next to you do, well, they get all the deers....If they aren't gonna allow it then the fine should be upped to 600 bucks or so. the 125.00 or somewhere around that just isn't enough to deter it. I think it goes up after your initial fine...I dunno.

I put out 'pea gravel' every year in my backyard. I got video of two does and three yearlings, feeding beside my birdbath, an honest 23.4 feet from my back porch. My upstairs window makes a good observation post.

I think you can buy one of those s-video cord thingamajiggers at radio shack. It's weird lookin', but it'll plug into my Sony 8 and it's about 8 years old. I just haven't went and bought one. I keep lookin' for one at Hudson's, cause they are about 70 bucks I think...Anyways, you can get those cheap ass 100 vid cams now and just USB it, or datacard it...Hell, you prolly know all this crap anyways....ramble on....

Digital game camera prices have become fairly reasonable as of late. The photos above were taken with a $100 wal-mart camera (moultre brand). They are not top notch photos but it gets the job done.

Ohhh, pretty deer! I wouldn't shoot one for love nor money! I would feed and pet them though...:smt023

Ok guys, I don't object to you shooting them IF you use them for meat..which I know you all do...but what gripes my a$$ is when they are killed pretty much for the rack on top of the head! Thank goodness there are not many people who do that but I HATE the ones who do!

No no. I don't shoot the babies or the momma if she has any. It's all about game management and only taking what I will eat. I figured someone would ask that question sooner or later.:-D

This one ate for like 30 minutes. Had about 10 pictures of her.
