I miss morning rain. I can't remember the last time I woke up to a rain and that rain lasted most of the day. I think it rained once in the morning a few months ago, but it was sunny the rest of the day.
It seems like when I was in school, we had morning rain lots of times. I remember riding the schoolbus in the morning in the rain, and running out to my car in hs in the morning in the rain.
Today was hopeful, but there's no rain right now. perhaps tomorrow...

The radio was saying "100% chance of rain today" so let's keep our fingers crossed.
I know what you mean, CB. I miss drippy, slow rain. It's been a while since we've seen that.
We need it here for sure. I think last week was the dryest my front yard has been all Summer.
I did run into some last night coming through New Orleans and Mandeville. There was some turning North out of Slidell. Not heavy, but drizzly.

I drive to work while it's still dark (now) so I don't miss big giant can't see over the hood of your car-type rain storms in the morning.
In just the five years I've lived in this state I've noticed a pretty big change in the weather, and it seems to have really happened in the two years since Katrina.
Maybe that's a coincidence or an incorrect observation.

I myself enjoy rainy days more than sunny days, don't know why, I just do.
Well, now that I think about it. I see more deer on rainy days. I catch more fish as the front approaches. It's easier to do burnouts on wet roads. Rainy days are good for sleeping, whether on the back porch listening to the rain hit the tin roof, or in the bed.

I am sorry bud to you and to the farmers in the group, but I hate rain and any other precipitation for that matter. Any time I hop on my bike I get scared about the rain, scared I going to get wet. No No No.... I know that I will not melt, but I know that the precious electronic cargo that I carry will be damaged. Ahh rain.... sure it was fine when I was outside barefooted and prepared to get wet, but I just do not like it any more. I am horrible I know.
It's a good drizzly morning to check the shock absorbers on the lumberjack bed.

Hey, this is what they make garbage bags for. Or plastic shopping bags from Mall type stores. The thick, thick kind.
When in Disney World, one learns to adapt to the sub tropical clime there and you can't stop for the rain! Get your bag from the shop, put stuff in it, ball it up, place inside another bag, fold it strategically, and bob's your uncle. Waterproof for rain and no worries! They make rainsuits for bikers that are vented to prevent sweating.
Personally, I like riding in the rain. The only thing I worry about slightly is my visibility, but if I've got my blinkies on, and my hi-vis vest, there's no way you can miss me. I'm a freakshow like that.

yeah, 10am... however, the Jerry Ryan ride is Saturday at 8:30, so I'm thinking we may just ride our bikes over there or something. Not really sure yet, but I'm working on it. Be there at 10, and I'll lead the way.
