I used to have a 1989 wrangler...may have been a 90 model. It had decent rims on it and some nice wild country radial. The top was a little leaky, but the heater worked great! Me and Mrs. Fish-Bait used to load up Jr. in the winter time and just cruise the backroads....no radios....no frills...no red lights....just cows, deer, a fox every now and then.....It was always neat to go about an hour and a half before dark and get home right at dark. We would build a fire and put on some deer sausage and I would partake in an adult beverage or two........

Man I miss that old jeep. It was paid for, it ran like a top, never a minutes trouble. I think we need another one. Just an old junker with a good heater in it.

You gotta' Jeep?

Sure do. I am a jeep freak. I started out with the 85 CJ7 (still my favorite). It was a lot of fun. Got us into some trouble in high school, and alos got us out of some too. I love to camp, and what a better vehicle to do it in. However, it wasnt the best on the highway. I have since had a 95 (YJ) 4 cylinder (weak as pond water), a 2002 (TJ), a 2001 (TJ Sahara ed.), and now a 2003 (TJ Sahara ed.) This one should be the last one. I finally got one that was exactly what I wanted. The older ones are a lot of fun, but the newer ones make it to the mountains a lot easier. Mine is a secondary vehicle so the top satys off most of the time. Still ride in her daily. Love it!

I had a 86 cj5 that my brother burned up coon hunting one night. He had a outboard gas tank that had a leak in it. He put it in the jeep, as he was riding around the shaking pressured up the tank, fuel leaked from the tank on to the floor and out the drain plug onto the exhaust. One small explosion later my jeep burned to the ground. The brother got out without a scratch!

I had a Willys model CJ2A, I miss it. My father-in-law has a CJ5 with the 304AMC running 33's or 35's, with a nice cam and carb, it's a blast!

My grandad had a '47 Willys Jeep. He was a surveyor & needed something dependable in the woods. He had it painted grey so it wouldn't look so military, (he bought it surplus from the Forestry service) He sold it back in the late '70s, not because there was anything wrong with it, but because he needed more room for his survey crew. He bought a 4WD Wagoneer to replace it.

We don't have a jeep but Hubby did a restoration on a 72 FJ40. We love to ride in it. go through the creek, climbs hills and even a little rock crawling. Got 5 big ole Mickey Thompson tires we are needing to get rid of at a very nice price if ya'll know anyone interested.

Fish. A jeep is a whole lot more fun than the tractor any way. Nothing like that nice fall weather and the open air.

My Uncle had a Jeep that he named "kidney Killer". This was a 1940's model. I don't know what happened to it after he passed away, but I think that my cousin sold it. DH & I have an '05 Jeep Liberty & we love it!:-D

I've still got "Chief" that I've owned for years. Not a mud slugging Wrangler but maybe the best road ride or at least a top favorite out of all that I've owned. Yeah you can go check cows in it. If I own it then it goes wherever I point it, no matter what it is intended for. Wrecked a Harley in a briar patch chasing a calf one day too.

Oh yeah, my old jeep was a conservative. Had to throw that in for good measure.
