Artist ties up a dog in a gallery and tells everyone not to feed it till it dies. Calls it art.

I won't look at the link. I think God has a special place in Hell for folks that mistreat kids, old folks, and animals...

Oh my god I think I cried a little bit, I wish someone would chain him up till he starved to death while people took pictures then tell me its still art....

Sickening.

I refuse to look. Just Aaron's brief description is enough for me. Hang him. If this is really happening, someone needs to go in there and get the dog.

What a sick S.O.B.! THAT is animal abuse plain and simple. Poor dog..he suffered untold amounts of pain just from hunger! People that do such things really don't deserve to live...if they would do such a deed to a poor old dog, they would do it to a human too!

The bigger question is why didn't the people who looked at the dog not turn him aloose? They are as guilty as the guy who tied the dog up!:icon_rifl I say we all get together and go riddle him with a few bullits!

Don't they have any animal cruelty laws in Nicaragua?

You wanna know what makes me even madder is that they say "culturally different" it has nothing to do with a culture it has everything to do with that guy being sick and disgusting. Thats lake a group of people living on an island raping people and using the excuse that its acceptable because its "culturally different".

When I had some surgery I felt like I was starving to death because it was so painful to eat I just couldn't for days and I had such an insatiable hunger, to think what it must be like to have that hunger grow more intense day after day while people walked by. I seriously hope this dog comes back as a ghost and does something to this dude.

Anyone read the comments that went with the article? While I agree that what he did was reprehensible...and it is reprehensible that no one stepped in...how many times every day do animals starve to death, die of disease, etc and no one intervenes?

I don't think that they're using it as a justification...or at least I'm not. I do, though, wonder where the outrage is for every other animal that dies of neglect that we don't see.

I have a half-blind, half-deaf, all dumb cat because I couldn't bear to let her die.

. . . . . because I couldn't bear to let her die.Me either.

I've been feeding a big fuzzy ole' stumpy tailed cat that doesn't belong to me for four or five years - ever since I realized she'd been, I guess, abandoned.
But, she turned out to be a hell-of-a good mouser!!

not bring up dead posts, but a google search for the artist's name only brings up reactionary posts about the story. i saw no real news sites mentioning it. i'm going to call B.S. on it.

sorry I didn't see this post until now. Sure he did. I'm interested in those who saw it and thought he was an artistic genius.

Shhhhhhhhhh. Quiet. Has to have a trial first or it's an assasination. You know,"Where's John Wilkes Booth."

Sounds like the mangy stray cat my dad adopted...or just didn't chase out of the yard, rather. Funky looking cat, but it keeps the dogs at bay. Always a fun site to see the look on a dog's face when a cat charges him/her. I don't know if they're running away from the cat or the confusion.
