Well, i finally found the pics i had uploaded about 2 years ago when i took pics of this truck.

I have since worked a bit on cleaning a path out to it and once i move bakc to meridian in december i plan on bringing it up the hilll to a barn where i can work on it more easily(electricity, all the tools, etc)

Now the pics.

this is all for now.. i have pics of the individual fenders and under body and such. no pics of teh stock engine bay...

this will be my official update thread as we move it up the hill and start teardown and the rebuild process.

ok, plans are..
Frame off resto.

have it sitting stock with 2 full sets of wheels. 1 period set whitewall on original rims, one modern set - drag radials.

It will be either Black, Bright Yellow, or Candy Red. Interior will be stock redone with hidden FM/Cdplayer.

Underhood will be (hopefully) a 502ci big block with full modern electronics and transmission.

It currently holds a flathead 6 which puts a out a mindnumbing 95hp and115hp tq (supposedly if it ran).

Updates to come....

Dude, listen carefully, sell me the truck, you don't need it or want it.......

Nah, that's gonna make one sweet ride when you get done. You should trailer it down here so you can work on it.

negative ghostrider.

This truck was bought by my greatgrandfather on October 13, 1947 for $1370.13. We still have the original bill of sale and the 1947 tag that was on it.

i'll work on it when i move back up there in december.

i did too when i realized that my GREATgrandfather bought it and its still here, not rusted to dust and in pretty good shape for being 60 years old.

From what i understand (and the current tag/ sticker concur) that the last time it was driven was in the 70's (73 or 77) when my great grandmother was driving it in teh rain, the road was still dirt, and she was pullin over about 500yds from their house and she slid it off the road giving it the only considerable dent it has on the right side rear fender.

i'm contemplating getting a similar size replica of my tattoo on the tailgate, lower right side corner..

this is the only tie i have to my Greats either side of my family.

My uncle used to live in their house but tore it down to build a newer larger home in 95. I helped take it apart and found many many newspapers and old relics stuck between floorboards adn walls.
