SAN DIEGO (AP) - Like Hurricane Katrina evacuees two years earlier in New Orleans, thousands of people rousted by natural disaster fled to the NFL stadium here, waiting out the calamity and worrying about their homes.
The similarities ended there, as an almost festive atmosphere reigned at Qualcomm Stadium.

because those people arent the trash that is new orleans

i never wish anybody who is a good decent person any harm but i stand by my assertion that new orleans needed to be purged...

but the 'backlash' if you will...was that the criminals were no longer contained...they spread out

I saw that this morning. Amazing food. Still, there's not enough smothered chicken breast with artichoke hearts in the world to make up for losing your home.

Today on Inside Edition, the CA wildfire story included a local CBS affiliate reporter who was reporting in front of his own burning home.

His family's dream home, he said.

It was terribly sad to see him describe what was happening before his eyes, as well as the camera.

Yet he remained a professional and was there to report the story.

Saw it today, also, Kitty....It was sad to see his reaction. He was very professional, though...don't know if I could have remained that calm.
