Just wanted to get everyone's poll report for todays election.

Pine Grove was brisk, for Pine Grove at least. 7:35

Everything was going smoothly.

Brisk at Thames about 9:30. Noticed the HA did a dumb headline about the turnout being low, but a commenter caught it.

I just got back from lunch/voting....Dixie was semi-steady...No wait but people in and out...I am anxious to see the turn out for Dixie....I saw David Allen, himself sitting out by the road waving at everyone....That says something, doesn't it? That out of all the precincts, he thought Dixie is special enough for him to be at. Go Vote........Yeah John Klem Constable!!!!!!!

I was 99th at Camp School today, about ten minutes ago. Cthulhu of R'Lyeh got one vote for governor. And I voted for myself for Rep, versus Percy Watson.

Fairly steady at 7:45 at Oak Grove....I voted for one Democrat (and no I don't live in Senate District 41) and wrote in my wife's name for a legislative seat (and the unopposed incumbent was not Tom King). I voted on the Agriculture Commissioner race last, and took a considerable amount of time before finally making my choice. I was also cancelled out too on that one.

I think around 10:30 37 out of 301 had voted at Yawn in south Lamar County.

I used to vote at Woodley. I wonder if my dad, & granddad's names are still on the voter roles over there. I wonder if it's too late to go vote for them.

They probably are still on there and if things continue today the way they have recently, they've already voted today! :(

Forrest county has done a pretty decent job of purging the voter rolls. Working the polls last year, we had many people come to vote that had been purged b/c they hadn't voted in the last state election.

now, municipal voter rolls may be a different story.

58, just call the circuit clerks office and check. may have to hit redial a bit b/c I know they're fielding calls left and right today. Someone drop those girls up there off a box of donuts.

yep, ole David Allen was sitting in his lawn chair waving like a once a year Santa. Hogans were out in numbers. Should be interesting.I sure hope Hogan can tell Allen to hit the road. He's been riding that gravy train for way too long.

I'm glad you mentioned that. How exactly does one enter a write in on a touch screen machine?

well at 4:45pm the wife and I were 101 and 102 at Breland East (wesley manor)

5-6 funny older folks were mannin' the polls.. no one else was in tehre voting the whole time we were.

One resident (i guess) walked bythe door and the folks asked her if she was gonna vote today.. she said nah.. i don't know who to vote for 'cept for Haley. They told her she could just vote for him if she were so inclined.. which she did. 1 vote for Haley proclaimed for all to hear.

old folks are fun..

('cept wilebill... i'll still groan him... just watch)

If you want to write in a candidate, just touch the "Write In" box and a touch screen keyboard appears. Type in you choice and touch, "Next".

I wrote in TD Beavers for Governor. :-D
Sharpie is more satisfying & you have a verifiable hard copy.

If that's the case, we're all in trouble. I don't trust anything that comes into or out of City Hall. :smt009

Did anyone catch the WDAM story about voting in Jeff Davis County today?

The white man they interviewed said that black people outside the voting areas refused to give sample ballots to white people.
