Did anyone watch this segment this morning on GMA? Good freakin' lord.

I grew up poor. Didn't see a dentist until I was 15...and have had to do a lot of work on my teeth since then. I've only had one dentist that was awful...and he was the one who did the bulk of my original work. I distinctly remember once furiously slapping the hygienist's arm to let her know that the Novocaine was not yet working while they were drilling on my tooth.
The thing that strikes me with that video is that if the child is screaming, that's a sign that something is wrong. There are ways to alleviate the stress, and what they're doing to these children is promote a life-long fear in these kids. If you wouldn't want it done to your child...or to you, why in god's name would you do it to someone else's child?
