Does anyone have any experience with Tumble Town gymnastics on 98? I know they claim to be a little more "serious" about gymnastics.
Anyone ever been there or know someone who's kid has gone there??
Thanks :smt001

I don't know anything about Tumble Town.....When my #2 daughter was younger, she was a competitive gymnast (Level 9) and attended KIPS. That's under new ownership now as Planet Gymnastics. I did hear from a very reliable source that a new gym was going to open sometime after the first of the year and it was going to be awesome.

my daughter was was 2/3 at the time went to tumble town. I took her out only becuase it was hard for me to get her over there and they changed the time of her class to a time her afternoon babysitter could not get her there. We actually liked it alot. They are more serious than planet gymnastics. They are not playing in balls - they were actually walking on a high beam at that age. I have been thinking about moving her back there (she is not anywhere right now) becuase she misses it. They do floor work, low and high beam, they do the trampoline and the uneven bars at 2/3 so I can only imagine how it is later on.

That's a funny name... Tumble Town... makes me think of all the kids in a big dryer, just tumbling around and around and around... LOL!!!!

I heard that as well. I believe it is going to be a HUGE facility. 8000 sq. ft. The number Apparently it will blow Planet Gym out of the water and have state of the art equipment and facilities. I also "heard" they will have a dance studio. Cool.

Someone is building a tumble/cheer facility out on Old Hwy 11 near Okahola.
I thought it to be a bit odd someone would build such a facility that far out. Outside the Windridge area developments, not much out that way in terms of residential development.
Hmmm.

I think that's the new one I heard about. Maybe that land was a little cheaper than closer in.

I think the name is "Olympic gymtastics, cheer & dance" or something to that effect. I'll drive by it on my way home and look at it and let y'all know for sure. And they will be offering dance... I think ballet is essential for gymnastics.

I think it's supposed to have some stuff related to baseball for boys, too. Not saying that gymnastics isn't for them cause I've known some awesome male gymnasts. Really strong and buff.........ah, but that's another story!

oh, and about the place that used to be KIPS- I hear they have not done such a great job with upkeep in the building. Also, it seems some of the equipment they are still using has been there since KIPS originally opened. Kinda nasty to think of all the sweaty bodies that have been on those matts over the years and haven't been replaced.

I wish they would build a gymnastic place in Petal. I would love for my daughter to take it, but can not find one that does real gymnastics. There is one that focuses on gymnastics, but they have told me it is just for fun nothing that would lead to competition.
