Sumrall power to be cut Saturday

Mississippi Power has scheduled a four hour interruption of electric service from midnight Friday until 4 a.m. Saturday.

The outage will affect all Mississippi Power customers in Sumrall.

“The outage is necessary to perform substation maintenance,” said Cindy Duvall, company spokeswoman. “The only way to perform the work is during an outage. We hope that this advance notice will help minimize any inconvenience to our customers.”I didn't know Sumrall had electicity yet. I thought those traffic lights were carbide powered.

Think about that for a minute, friday night at 12am to 4am? have they lost their mind? all the miller lites will get hot and the rednecks will be unhappy. You wait, we will have a rash of DUIs because people had to drink all their friday/saturday night booze on friday night so it doesn't go bad! and then try to go out and get more!
