Looks like a 77 degree day on Thanksgiving. I don't give 7 day out forcasts much weight, but they're pretty good on ballpark. No days of coolness surrounding next Thursday.

I just don't feel festive when you can go outside and get sweaty. No fun.

Shopping mood? I just don't get it. I hurled myself into Black Friday once because my husband said it was one of the requirements for becoming a US citizen <g> and never, ever will I be caught in any store on the Friday, heck, the weekend, after Thanksgiving again unless someone in the family falls terminally ill and I have to go to the pharmacy for drugs ( even then I would have to think twice ). It's like looting, only legalized. People ripping items out of each others hands, a stampede as soon as the doors open ....no thanks :exit3:
That said, I am looking forward to some cooler, p[ossibly wetter weather. If I can't have snow for the holidays I'll have to settle for plain nasty weather

I thought I was the only person in the world who refuses to go into a store the day after thanksgiving. Just the thought.......

I enjoy going to stores on the day after... just to watch the insanity. It's crazyness. Crackerjacks everywhere in the old days. People shuffling around to get X item... like they couldn't have bought it on Wed before thanksgiving... anything to save a buck!

I enjoy watching the madness. And being part of it. I dunno...

I bet it is quite entertaining, I'm just afraid I would get into a brawl with some overzealous soccer mom who tried to push me aside to get to item X. The a$$ beating would commence..

That really only happens at Walmart. That's a lower breed of Thanksgiving shopper that hits Walmart. You've gotta go to the mall or something.

I do NOT shop on Black Friday..... maybe online.

You know the bigger stores are doing sales already to help lower the crowds.

Im not a nice enough person to wait in lines for hours or traffic. Id go crazy and start plottin against folks.

The one or two times I've had to work on the Friday after Turkey Day - I've felt like I was missing out. Black Friday is what kicks of Christmas for me. It's a tradition in our family - I may not even buy anything - but I'm in the crowd getting pumped up. It's just fun. My mother and I shopped on Black Friday - now my oldest daughter and I are doing it.

Thanks, I've already had Sumrall come out -- it worked until he left. The thing is just OLD. The AC works fine, just the heat not coming on. Will need a new one as soon as the other house sells -- anybody need a nice house?

:laugh: It's all I can do to keep up with the livestock around here now (two giant worthless sofa pillows disguised as cats) -- I can just see me with a farm! Besides, I thought you already had a farm!
