Up north a couple of years ago, some "sweet heart" baked some brownies laced with--something naughty...
Now there is a rule that they cannot accept anything like that...

I was wondering if their was any such rule in place down here--I PROMISE--I am NOT the one who did it--nor am I planning anything so mean...

Just wanted to put my "cookies where my mouth is" this Thanksgiving Holiday...

...You know--its NOT just for shopping anymore...

I don't know about baked goods, but they'll accept certain fried goods.

I think prisoners accept cakes with knives or pistols in them

From what I understand the Bagel guy isn't what you'd call "cop friendly".

Dang It--you guys--(oops--my "yanky is showing"--)

Ya'll--
We brain stormed about ways we could "say 'thank you'" to those we are grateful for in a tangible way...this is what "we" came up with...

It would SUCK if the traffic cop at OGUE had to smile and say "thank you--but--I can't accept these because some idiot..."

There are some for the teachers and the office staff too--

But still--that traffic cop job looks like it REALLY SUCKS!

Chichiguita..............the job does suck......I personally know the one at the four way stop by the Exxon on 11 and he has some stories you wouldn't believe.

Ya know there might be a few cops out there that might appreciate some "Special" baked goods.
They could get lit on the job & if caught blame a generous citizen whose name they never got.
I'm not suggestin'........I'm just sayin'.
Besides, I always heard that cops had the best dope.

I've always wanted to give a dozen doughnuts to the guys who work 'car line' at Dixie school every morning, but I wasn't sure if it would be appropriate.

I think it's against their code to not accept them.

I think they are sworn to serve, to protect, and to accept baked goods.

And donuts. :-D

Chichiquita, how kind and generous of you to think about all the officers...with that being said, I will tell you from experience, MOST of the officers will not eat something brought and dropped off for them UNLESS they know who baked it/brought it in. I have worked at two police departments and we were all that way...you have to remember there are alot of folks that hold grudges!

IF you would like to make a donation to the officers, may I suggest that you contact some of the p.d. people on MH and get with them...IF you prepared something and gave it to them to take in it would be a different type thing..we know you.

At one time I would have agreed with you, but since Shipleys shut down their Westover location I have had to acquire a taste for Krisly Kreme's instead. I still enjoy a good Shipley's if I'm over that way in the early morning and can get them hot.

Heh. If you gave the cops here some special brownies/cookies, you'd never get another ticket. They'd love you forever.
