It wasn't as bad as I expected, either, but I still said "HOLY CRAP!" when I saw it!

Can anybody explain how it's still standing?
Nerves like when a chicken's head is chopped off?
I was scared to look but it's not that bad. One of my cats used to leave squirrels on the front porch with their faces eaten out. That was gross.

No, it was just staring up at me. Well, no it wasn't...it had no eyes. :-D
Probably it seemed grosser to me than the picture because it was real, right in front of my face, not a picture.

Looks to me like it was a case of a mate finding the other mate being unfaithful... Take heed fellow MHers... Stick with one bird. No matter how bad he/she seems... Wouldn't want you to have a naked neck now would we?

I am surprised that there was anything left..a few months ago we had a hawk swoop down one afternoon and eat a dove that was dining below our bird feeders...Booshay got the ordeal on camera...it didn't take the hawk long and there were only just a handful of feathers left...no bones, no guts no nothing else! I was surprised the smaller bird was still going strong...MAYBE he has Energizer batteries!

Survival of the fittest. Maybe if Hillary gets elected we can get "free" health care for people and animals. Then nothing bad will ever happen. And if it does, the gov. can fix it.
