Can't wait to see this list. (http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/12/13/steroid.report/index.html)
NEW YORK (CNN) -- A former senator is expected Thursday to muddle the careers and legacies of dozens of current and former pro baseball players with a long-awaited report on steroid use in America's pastime.
Twenty months in the making, former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell's investigation will hone in on allegations that have been raised since sluggers Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa thrilled fans with a record-shattering home run race in 1998.
Mitchell's findings are expected to include names of baseball players who Mitchell believes have used steroids. Various media reports speculate that Mitchell will call out between 50 and 80 baseball players.

I think they removed the list while they "clarify." How noble of them. Did you see any names?

Interesting.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens and Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte were the first names to emerge Thursday from the Mitchell report.
ESPN.com reported Brian McNamee, a former trainer for the Yankees and Clemens, told investigators he supplied Clemens and Pettitte with steroids and that information is in the report. The Web site cited an unidentified source close to the trainer.
"After we read the report, we will have something to say," said Randy Hendricks, the agent for Clemens and Pettitte.

It may have been easier to print a list of those who didn't use steroids.

I thought the report was supposed to be out today. Everything I read yesterday said that. Everything I've read also says that owners deserve a hefty dose of this blame. There's a reason why players wanted to be bigger and stronger all of the sudden.

It is today. Sorry. Had my dates mixed up :)
Hmmmmm...Darryl Kile's cause of death was listed as "coronary atherosclerosis, narrowing of the arteries supplying the heart muscle." Is this something that steroid use causes?

More details. (http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/12/13/steroid.report/index.html)
Illegal steroids have been in widespread use in Major League Baseball for more than a decade and used by some of the game's top stars, former Sen. George Mitchell said in releasing a report Thursday.
"Those who have illegally used these substances range from players whose major league careers were brief to potential members of the Baseball Hall of Fame," Mitchell said.
"This has not been an isolated problem involving just a few players or a few clubs," Mitchell said. "Many players were involved. Each of the 30 clubs has had players who have been involved with such substances at some time in their career."
Mitchell said while action should be taken against the most egregious abusers, it will be in baseball's best interest to put the past behind it.
"The commissioner should give the players and everyone else the chance to make a fresh start," Mitchell said. "That's what baseball needs."
