I came to the place to get answers.....True story...Tonight (Friday 12/14) around 6:30 p.m. was on Hwy 49 in North bound lane between W-M and FGH...in South bound lane comes a white limo with a police escort.....go out to Hwy 98 west, eat, shop,etc. and lo behold around 10:54 p.m. traveling Hwy 49 in South bound lane between FGH and W-M and in the North bound lane here comes the same limo with police escort...What's up? Does anyone know who or what this may have been? Does any LE know who needed a limo and Police Escort tonight???? Any answers will be appreciated....just wondering? Thanks.

Old Lady, Thursday nite I was at a city-wide neighborhood assoc. Christmas party at the Cultural Center. The mayor was saying that there were several groups of the volunteers from out-of-state who helped after Katrina in town and they were again helping with several projects in the area. He mentioned he had taken them all to Rayners for supper on Wed. and was taking them somewhere else that night. Maybe he loads them all up in a limo so they can all be together then takes them out to eat. He probably gets an escourt so they don't have to sit in all the Christmas shopping traffic etc. I don't know if that was the case but it is a thought.

I was just wondering who of what importance needed 2 and then 4 cars with HPD .....meaning they were not on duty??? Or the city was running short-handed on protection????

If they were Katrina volunteers they deserved the limo ride!! Hope there was some champagne in the back for them.

Sources tell myhburg on your side that they dont know what the heck we are talking about.. LOL

I think it had something to do with USM's graduation and might have been a big wig that flew into bobby chain for the graduation. :smt009

Oh ya'll, that was me............I needed to do some more shopping and didn't wanta get wet and cold so just had my driver go in every store to get what I needed!!

Actually, Scarlett, I understand. I, Daisy (Duck and Donald didn't want to get our feathers wet and had to shop for Huey, Louie and Dewey and of course we were hungry.:smt023 Disney paid for the limo and police protection.:bowrofl:

Speaking of LIMOS, I saw a white hummer limo. May have been a stretch limo. Strange and I might have crashed looking had I not been sitting at 49 and Hardy light as it came from Hardy onto 49 South.

Has anyone else seen this?

those have been around for years... at least 8-9 years that I know of.
