You know... Maybe we have judged him too harshly... Maybe if I looked deep into my soul I could find some sympathy and could care what happens to him... Of course if that is all it took to stay out of jail I think some of the other convicted felons would have used that by now... Doesn't seem too smart does he?

I just hope that this high profile case will send the message loud and clear that dogfighting is not going to be accepted regardless of your "culture". I'm pretty certain that it happens here in south ms too, I just hope that anyone who has knowledge of it will intervene. It is our responsibility to protect those that are defenseless. He needs to do his time and pay his debt to society, regardless of the reasons he committed the crime.

Yes take a ride out in the country and you will see little tin houses with a rooster or game chicken under each one. All they are is two pieces o tin propped up on each other to form a tent looking setup... they are somehow tied up to the things and are placed just far enough apart to keep them from getting to each other...
The law knows where they live that have the roosters but just have other fish to fry to warrant going after them... I can drive you bt a couple houses in Pearl River County now and show you the little tin houses...

If you killed poor animals and watched others be killed-God was watching you do this, to late to make a plea now. I think Vick should be put in a cage with a bunch of hungry dogs, we will see who comes out for the better then. He has children, wow! what a role model for these poor children. Actually, certain breeds of poultry, such as Old English Games, are very pugnacious and must be kept separated. Some people love these beautiful birds and raise them purely for the pleasure of raising them, and some raise them for showing in poultry shows. Just because someone has fowl separated, does not automatically infer that they are cruel to animals, or that these birds have been raised for cock-fighting. Keeping them separate not only keeps them from having pecking-order fights, it also prevents feather damage from feather picking that would cause a poor showing at a poultry show. I am not attempting to read anyone`s conscience. I just know that an uncle gave us some of those beautiful birds when I was a child. I have loved them ever since. I finally got some rural property where I could have some of them again. I love my birds! I KEEP THEM SEPARATE OF NECESSITY. I do NOT fight them. Just for the record: I have NEVER fought them. If you have a piece of rural property and are considering poultry keeping, I can highly recommend the breed for vitality, disease reistance, ability to set eggs and raise their own young, for providing eggs during the laying season and tasty meat, too.

You are right in that respect. However when you look at the condition of the living arrangements of the birds it is apparent they are not well kept. I could be wrong. But I just believe they do not have the best interests of the birds on their mind.

Dog fighting is rampant in the Hattiesburg area. I can point you to several people who do it, and many more who have relatives/boyfriends who participate in the 'sport'. They see nothing wrong with it and think it's some stupid deal that it's illegal.

Yeah...Paris found God during her 3 week prison visit...however, she couldn't remember anything she read in the Bible...you know the same one she claimed to have read the whole time she was "in"

Unfortunately...putting that POS (Vick) in with dogs only helps to encourage the hate people have for pits...let Vick meet some people I know... :) There are people out there who can do the job...well :)
