This sounds like a mutual resignation or firing to me. Tony Franklin has been hired to replace him.
If anyone hears where Borges ends up, pm me. Uncle is concerned and an auburn alum and fan. guy has a family.

Borges is a great OC. He'll find a spot pretty quickly.
Auburn is going to the spread/spread option with the QB they've got. Stupid move IMO.

I don't know how much spread option they'll be running....They hired Tony Franklin who runs a Hal Mumme Air Raid offense (ala Texas Tech), even though he hates Hal Mumme so much that he wrote a book about him....If they let Tony do his thing, they will be wide open....
I think it's going to be an interesting experiment, if they go all out Air Raid....First time to see it run with good SEC athletes....I'm sure the DC won't be happy though.....
Here's a good reason to believe they'll open it up.....

I'm just going from what somebody told on the option part. I know the kid they've got is a great runner too. Tubs is a defensive guy, so this could be a disaster. But, it's where football is headed. The spread and wide open passing attack is taking over college and pro football IMO. Once the NFL figures it out, they'll go back to running it more.

Thanks to all ya'll and let me know when and where Borges lands.
I heard it's like the Cutcliffe mandate a few years back where Tubberville was told to get rid of Borges. Cutcliffe at Ole Miss refused to go that route and ax his coaches and instead sacrificed himself.
I don't think lyalty and commitment to anything other than the almighty $$$ is in some AD and head coaches heads. I hope it boomerangs on some of them.:bowrofl:
