Put a bow on the items, drive at least 5 miles from your house at 4:00 am & leave it on a convenient porch.

Call the Lamar County Board of Supervisors. I believe that one Saturday per month (I think the third Saturday) they have an opportunity for residents to properly dispose of items such as the one you mentioned. You might also check www.lamarcounty.com (http://www.lamarcounty.com).

Lamar county does have a program that lets you drop off appliances. I'm not sure which day of the month it is or where the drop off location is. You can call the Lamar Co sanitation dept and get the info.

Call the salvation army and tell them you want to 'donate' some items.

Just start letting it collect in your yard.

Why groan this, Upset? Salvation army here will fix stuff up. There are mentally retarded groups that are trained to fix stuff like this too. Up here there are, any way. My company paid a group to put together shipping boxes for us. They got paid and enjoyed the opportunity to be productive.
