Anyone watching these on ABC tonight? I haven't watched a debate in quite awhile because I've been fatigued. They're talking about immigration right now. It's amusing watching them snipe at each other, trying to talk over the others.

I'm watching it. Finally my guy gets to speak.

Rudy made a good comment saying that none of them have a perfect record on immigration.

Yeah that was a good one. The exchange between McCain and Romney was...sad.

Good rule of thumb and would probably solve the problem would to be to adopt the idea of: "Do the paperwork, come here legally or risk getting your ass shot when sneaking over the border".

Yeah all it did was make the two front runners in NH look childish. The others did that too on other issues with the exception of Huckabee. Paul was much more relaxed than usual tonight.

Hillary lost her cool. That was rather odd to watch.

My hubby is watching the dems. His blood pressure is increasing. I fear for his health.

I enjoyed them, both Repub and dems. If Edwards talks about that girl with the liver one more time... I don't even care anymore, b/c he's just using her story and name for political advantage. I hate that. Like when Gore paraded that girl from FL around b/c she didn't have a desk in a school or something like that.

Hillary did lose it a bit, and I think she'll do it more when she's pressed, which none of them really were on either side.

Obama was great, Richardson's regret answer was funny.

Romney comes off as slimy, Thompson came off as an ass, esp. when speaking to Paul. They all treat Paul like he's a nut. His ideas are a bit revolutionary, but they're really not new... they're old.

Clinton is who she is. I've always said that she'd never get the nod. This is one of the reasons why. People don't like her, they don't know why, but when she gets in front of the cameras and does stuff like that, they go, "Ahhhhh, THAT'S it!"

Why even attack Paul? If you are indeed a true front runner, you should view Paul as a non-issue, a non-problem. To attack him only gives credence to his ideas and suggests that he is a threat.

It doesn't make you look good, just tacky and desperate. That's campaigning 101.

I took a late nap and got my time all messed up. I can't believe I missed the debate. Problem with the Republican candidates, none fit the base. You have to decide what is more important to you. Huckleberry won't close the border. He's not for cutting gov't spending. He wouldn't know a arab if he bit him on the arse. Ron Paul is too Libertarian for me and has no workable plan for cutting off income tax. Not going to happen anyway. He can do away with Income tax as fast as any Pres. can do away with integration or abortion. All puff. Giuliani is too liberal socially. And he's a ex mayor. McCain is too liberal. He'll forgive all the illegals and not close the border. He'll raise taxes but he'll whip Iraq and Iran if necessary. Duncan Hunter is pure conservative but he'll have to drop out. Don't know why he never took off. That leaves Mitt Romney. Can I believe him? Understand this is me just thinking aloud about how I will vote. Not trying to dump on your candidate. None fit all of our wants, and that's the problem. I thought Duncan Hunter fit my every wish. Apparently I am the knuckle dragger Sue/Fuzzis/Amandah think I am.:smt118

Here's how some undecided New Hampshire voters reacted to last night's debate:

Wow. Sounded like Hillary got a can of whupp'um ass opened on her. I love it so. But if this continues and Obama is the Dem candidate can he win against Romney? McCain? Giuliani? Huckabee? Which one can beat him?

The more I watch the repub candidates, the more I think that none can beat Obama. IMO, Huckabee has the best chance, followed by Romney and then it drops off from there. McCain might have a chance, but that's just b/c he'd be pulling from some of Obama's more conservative supporters.

I see the field wide open for a centrist 3rd party candidate if the nominees are Obama and Huckabee/Romney. Maybe even a fourth. I think it'd be great to see a 4 way run for president... with all 4 getting to debate on TV. That would be like the old days of the country, and I think we need to get back to that way more.

I read Huckabee's platform on his website, and it is not exactly what I've been hearing the press say about him (surprise). I'd almost be willing to vote for him on the one issue of tax reform. I'm usually a single issue voter.

My issues, in order are:

1-Tax Reform/SS Reform
2-Illegal Immigration
3-Defense

I cannot remember which thread this was in already. It will tell which candidate comes closest to best representing our personal outlook:

Mine came out Ron Paul, Fred Thompson, and Duncan Hunter.

What are your beliefs about illegal immigration? Just curious, because Obama's stances are abysmal in my opinion. Give them SS, a pathway to citizenship, then give them welfare and medicaid...I just can't vote for anyone with weak stance on immigration. I can be liberal about some issues, but not that.

My vote is dependent on..
1. Illegal immigration
2. Education
3. Tax reform
4. Healthcare
5. Defense
(Not in any particular order after #1 and #2)

I love this poll because the big fat heads crack me up. I got Paul, Romney, and Thompson. Not sure about that. Romney creeps me out...and I think he's kinda slimy.
