Ah, here in the south when snow is mentioned they really mean "slush". No idea why they don't just say that but ...yeah I'm ready for some slush.

C'mon fuzzis...you don't wanna run out and make naked slush angels in your yard? I say bring on the slush.

No. I come from the land of snow. There's 2 feet of snow in my Sner's front yard right now, with more falling. I will be happy to never see snow again.

Yeah, I guess if I came from the land of snow it wouldn't sound appealing to me either. It slushes here what..maybe once every 7 or 8 years?

Neither the National Weather Service forecast or the weather.com (The Weather Channel) even have much in the way of near freezing temperatures for next weekend. It will be cool, but not freezing according to both of those services. Accuweather has some freezing temps, but no precip.
I do however wish it would SNOW!!!!!

No!!! No snow! As much as the prospect would thrill my children - I have absolutely NO desire for snow. Yuck. I'm not a winter person at all, and if it snows then that means it has gotten really cold, besides it isn't the "pretty" snow like they have up north. We don't handle snow conditions well at all in the extreme south. I'll have nightmares tonight for sure. :ohnoes:

According to that link...definately not cold enough for slush.

All you former snow birds can hush. We who suffer through summers and summers and the mildest of winters deserve a snow once a day every few years. It's been at LEAST 5 years since it's snowed here with ANY accumulation. It's been MUCH longer than that since we've been able to muster the saddest of the dirty snowmen.
Let us have our once a decade snow, damnit.

I for one am NOT a former snowbird. I LIKE summers in the South. :) I know its weird, but I just can't get warm in winter and very seldom do I ever get TOO hot. :smt105 I turned down one of those "once in a lifetime" jobs in New York because of snow. It was in Seneca Falls and it snows like 8 months out of the year. Nope. Not my cup of tea at all. :-D

I would like a beautiful soft fluffy snow with NO ICE under it, that will melt quickly. Otherwise, no. I grew up in Memphis, and they frequently get a layer of ice, and then the snow. That's a nightmare in a town with little snow removal capability and people with no clue how to drive in it. I have done a 180 a time or two.
