I have a neighbor who recently moved her from Pa. She has one dog and has been using Drs. Mayfield and Calhoun for the care of her dog...only because they will pick the animal up and bring them back home. She has no car.

She has been very unhappy with them and would like to change. Does anyone know of another vet clinic that is good and that will pick up and deliver the critter to their clinic? She told me she could not rely on taking a taxi because they never show up or take nine forevers when they do...thanks for any suggestions.

I would offer to take her but her dog is just too big and I would be afraid he would tear up the interior of my car with his nails etc. He is kindda aggresive too.

I am sorry Maggie that she does not like The Animal ER. I took Kujeaux there when he was diagnosed with bone cancer. A vet down here in Picayune wanted to put him down and the thought killed me... We heard of the Animal ER and found them to be very loving and caring to us and our Kujeaux... Dr. Mayfield Sr. Prayed with us and told us they prayed before every procedure... It was comforting to say the least...
I hope she finds one that will take care of her and her puppies needs...

We use Dr. Tom Ricks................don't know if he does pick and delivery, though.

I've used Mayfield, Calhoun, and Patrolia. Those folks at Animal ER/AMC have bent over backwards to help me on numerous occasions.

I've used Mayfield, Calhoun, and Patrolia. Those folks at Animal ER/AMC have bent over backwards to help me on numerous occasions.Dr. Petrolia did the actual surgery on Kujie and then we started using Dr. Mayfield III. Dr. Petrolia's wife Allison was the only one we let administer the chemo treatment. I get choked up thinking about how they were there for us... They would bring the drip out to the room where we were so we could stay with our baby... I just can't say enough about them...

I would suggest your neighbor go through the phone book of vets and start calling them to see if and who can accomodate her situation.

Dr. Brenda used to have a bus or some type of vehicle but I think she has gone into practice.

We take our Miss Weenie to the Petal Animal Clinic(I think that's the correct name). They are located next door to the Ward's in Petal. They are very good.
