McCain wins GOP primary (http://www.hattiesburgamerican.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080108/NEWS01/80108058/1002)

NASHUA, N.H. — John McCain rode the Straight Talk Express straight into first place in New Hampshire, and back into the thick of the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

“I hate to use the word kid, but I think we showed the people of this country what a real comeback looks like,” the Arizona senator told The Associated Press in an interview Tuesday, savoring victory in the state he won eight years ago during his first White House bid.

“I’m grateful to the people of New Hampshire. I’m committed to keeping this country safe, and we’re going to move on to Michigan and South Carolina and win the nomination,” he added.

It was, indeed, a stunning comeback for the four-term senator who went from presumed front-runner a year ago to seemingly finished last summer after his campaign all but imploded. McCain not only stayed alive, but now heads into the next contest Jan. 15 in Michigan with momentum and the potential to raise much-need money.I've always liked him. I haven't made up my mind who I'd like to see get the nomination, but he's one of my favorites.

I dont care if he is a stale cracker as long as he can run this country and get our boys out of the middle east without us getting into WWIII. I dont want our country to keep going the way its been going. If we arent careful we will wake up in a Communist ran country.

He's about as enthusiastic as a stale cracker.Ah, the president can hire a cheerleader. I think that's what the VP is for. I just want a president that won't embarrass the s*** out of us and can make rational decisions.

I'm afraid you won't find one of those this election.

McCain's a military guy, he's not going to pull us out of Iraq. He's already voted for the war previously.

Like all the other candidates of both Parties (except Ron Paul), he seems to change chameleon-like according to the times and situations.

They're all the same. We are going to be left choosing between the lesser of the two evils.
