Just taking this opportunity to say hi. My family is from Hattiesburg and I was born there in 1960. But most of us have moved away now (although my paternal grandmother still lives there). My mother and I started a website at batsonwomen.blogspot.com (http://batsonwomen.blogspot.com) and we expect to include topics of Hattiesburg history which our family is a part of.

Again welcome. I didn't have the time for a proper greeting this morning. It's good to have another talented person here at MH. Whew! It's been tough toting the talent load all by myself. Anyway, have a seat and let's have a talk. First, stay away from Scarlett. She will take all your money. Don't believe a word that comes out of DTS. If you want an inside connection at the casino, virgo is your gal. Click on the new post button on the task bar to find the latest post. The casino is also located on that bar. Sometimes we have a group of us playing Texas Hold Em at night. The new guy (that would be you) brings the beer, and a coke for me. I can't drink beer...well...let's just say lamp shades and leave it at that. Anyway, glad you are here. It's a great place. Oh and by the way have you seen any ice cream trucks for sale in NY? Have fun.

I was looking over the paintings...did you do all of them? They are beautiful! I especially loved the ones with flowers and the fruit ones too.

Can you paint dogs? I know that is a stupid question but some folks can't...I found that out the hard way. I was wanting a painting of a wire haired fox terrier (mine) and the man who I commissioned screwed it up royally! It looked deformed when he got done.

I look forward to your post...oh, by the way, are you kin to the Batsons who lived in the English Tudor style house that is on Bay St..in the historic section, just down from the old Methodist hospital?
