Thanks, but I'm afraid that it is going to affect my neighbors to my east more so than me. It looked like something was going down here for a minute, but honestly, aside from the blowing rain, flooding ditch, and hail... it was somewhat of a let down. Sounds stupid to most, but I love thunderstorms!!!!
The silence came AFTER the storm had passed us.. freaky.

Getting bad here in Marion County. Tons of lightening and the temps are dropping. I'm waiting for cows.
OK. I got my hair done. Ready for my close up in case of a tornado.
I was in Columbia. The sirens started going off. I was told that meant "tornado." Large bolts of lightning were flashing everywhere.
Big bolts.
Then dime-sized hail started hitting my SUV. This lasted for just a few minutes.
I said "I'm driving east."
So, I got in my hail-pecked SUV (it wasn't even raining) and hauled $%#* back to Lamar County.
Shaking like a leaf. :ohnoes:
In my rear view mirror was the blackest cloud I've ever seen. Almost a purple black.
Scary.

We were all told to get down to the hallways on the first floor. We stood around for about fifteen minutes then came back up. Not a drop falling outside now but there is some major darkness off to the west of the building.

Info on the damage in Caledonia, MS:
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - At least two injuries were reported Thursday as powerful thunderstorms packing heavy rain and possible tornadoes pushed across Mississippi.
There were numerous reports of scattered property damage around the state, including at a school in Caledonia.
"Schools and buses are damaged and one of the old gyms there could be destroyed so we've got an area coordinator on the way the to check it out," said Lea Stokes, a spokeswoman for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.

The middle school should be at least an hour late as the buses had to complete the Lower grades route first. That route was held up in the hall 3ish.
The daycares did not pick up until after the buses at Lower, so they were behind as well.
Hope this helps.
