Last night I dreamed that I was driving a black hearse (sp). There was a big hole dug with cement blocks inside it. A "funeral director-looking" person (tall African American man in a dark suit wearing sunglasses) was trying to direct traffic. Somehow, I lost control of the car, jumped the curb, and drove it right into the hole and crashed it into the wall.

I wasn't hurt--or afraid for my safety. In the dream I seemed to be more worried about what the damages were going to cost me. I was kind of chuckling to myself as I brushed the dust off and climbed from the rubble.

Got to give that one some thought and figure out what is going on in my demented little psyche...any ideas?

Tell me whatcha think--and post your strange dreams, please...

I think car dreams are often about your life. Who's driving, what's happening, etc. Losing control and crashing may be about your anxiety with the Mac stuff?? Just a thought.

I'm still undecided as to whether dreams really "mean" anything. Sometimes I think that they're just random junk in your head that your brain decides to purge occasionally. Then sometimes I get the strangest sense of deja-vu. It's usually during a situation that while not unusual, is not something that is common for me. For example, if I'm traveling somewhere I've never been, I get the distinct sense that I've dreamed that I've been there before, multiple times. It may just be my head playing tricks on me, since I rarely remember my dreams. But when I get the deja-vu, I think I remember dreaming about the place.

EFB, I think both things are true. A lot of dreams probably are just the brain sorting itself out, but some of them have some meaning. My grandmother had at least one of those "deja-vu" dreams. She dreamed of being in an old cemetery with a very distinctive grave that had a stone or cement slab on top of it, with a long crack in it. Years later, visiting a cemetery in a state she had never been in, she found herself standing at that exact grave. It didn't have any deep important meaning, but it was very unnerving to her! But she was mildly psychic anyway (which is another topic -- I think that's just an inborn natural talent, nothing supernatural or spooky.)

Mac stuff?

I think she was talking about Chi's struggles with the Mac computers at her work. LOL

Last night I had a dream that I was walking toward a private airport where I planned to fly my husband's plane. I was near a dam when it broke and water came rushing toward me. There were 4 or 5 other women around me, and we all started running towards this raised up ledge where there was a door. The ground that we were running on was full of holes, and hard to run on. The water caught me and pushed me a while before I finally got back to my feet. When I got to the door the girls had already slammed it and didn't want to let me inside, but I forced my way in. Then I realized that there wasn't enough water out there to drown us after all, and I started to leave. As I was walking out, I noticed one of the women shooting up with a syringe.:smt102

I can put some of it together. We don't have a plane, obviously, but I recently flew, and while in the air I was looking out the window when another jet suddenly appeared out of nowhere headed straight for us. It seemed WAY too close. So there's some airplane anxiety in my recent past.

I'm not sure about the breaking dam, but the holes in the ground must be because my dogs have dug huge holes in my back yard that make me angry every time I look at them.

Last night I heard a guy talking about catching his roommate shooting dope, so I guess that's where that part came from.

I've had some dreams lately involving water.

I haven't a clue as to what that might mean.

I think water usually represents spiritual or emotional being.

One way to think your way through a dream is to work your way through the symbols and people in the dream asking yourself "what part of myself do I see in this symbol?"

I wish I remembered my dreams better. I used to write them down after I woke up so I wouldn't forget, but I have not done that in years.

Chichi, I've told this before but it was a long time ago. I went through a phase of having dreams about very large, elaborate bathrooms, sometimes with many rooms and large Victorian-style fixtures. This went on for a while, and I asked my then dream-guru, my late sister, what she thought about it. She pondered and then said, "I know what your dreams mean."
I was intrigued: "What?"
"They mean, don't drink tea at night."

That's one of my favorite Sissy stories. I did have a vivid dream of her on the Easter after she died. It was so real that it woke me up, feeling the most intense, incredible joy -- it felt like I'd really seen her.

every once in a while, I have those about my parents. I try to stay asleep as long as I can to "bring the dream back".

I hesitated to tell this one cause of the teasing I feared I would face. But it will still be good for a giggle.

During my nap, I dreamed that I was driving Lips' car...

I've never seen her "waking" car. In my dream it was a little red sports car (go figure...). In my dream, she was on vacation and had left the car in front of a store. I just started driving it. Then partway through the dream, I realized that I did not have her permission to be driving it and I felt really embarrassed that I was driving her car...

I'm no dream guru...

but....

I think its cause I wanna look like her...:-D

That's funny, but it does kinda fit the theory that a car represents your life, doesn't it.

I have recurring dreams(nightmares!) of tornadoes & being cut to pieces by flying shards of glass. One night I dreamed that I was exsanguinating(bleeding to death) in the ER & I heard one of the doctors say "She's going into V-tach! We're losing her!" I woke up sobbing & moaning. I also have recurring dreams of being bitten by violin (brown recluse) spiders & I am TERRIFIED of them!:ohnoes: I have had very pleasant dreams of my deceased parents & when I wake up I realize that they are no longer with us here on earth.
