Would that be Shawn O'Hara the movie producer, or Shawn O'Hara the perennial political candidate?

He asked me once to review one of his movies. I was simultaneously repelled and curious...of course the call never came (whew).

He did whip out a picture of his new wife to show me.

Heck, who knows. He might unseat Thad.

What in the world is he thinking?

He's the only person that keeps me interested in politics....his mayoral debates with Ed Morgan were C-L-A-S-S-I-C! I especially liked the time he accused the mayor of being a coke head....right to his face....on TV! Rich!

Does he not cheapen the process, though?

If you're in a baseball game and begin running the bases backwards, the umpire can call you out for "making a farce of the game."

Ok, Ok. We've heard him. We know the name. Some of us have been fortunate enough to have met him. He's a celebrity. He's got what, $25 or $50 to enter a race?

This is one of the reasons Middle Easterners don't find the modern republic (democracy) attractive. CNN reported that someone mentioned Shawn O'Hara's name to Condi Rice just the other day...

I don't know....I find most politicians to be a joke....Puffy is just a bit more eccentric...

I see no harm in Shawn O'hara....I don't blame him for the Middle East's resistance to democracy.....Only Shawn would think he is that important....

I truly doubt that Shaun O'hara's name was mentioned in Company with people like Condi Rice or otherwise. I would bet that's another person same name. One Shaun O'Hara plays for The N.Y. Giants. This I don't believe was Hattiesburg's own. But Let me be clear he's differant but he's really a nice guy.

He must not be too proud of her...I have NEVER seen her and they live down the street from me...I have wondered IF he keeps her chained up somewhere...I see him driving around and he is always by himself

I remember when Mark Johnson was on WDAM and would always introduce Shawn as, "Part-time Taco Bell employee and gubernatorial candidate Shawn O'Hara...."

Mike, what is your curious interest in Shawn O'Hara?

Doc, whatever you're insinuating you need to take back. HA!

Shawn's back in the news. Gonna KO Thad this time. Just wonder what drives the dude.

Shawn couldn't win a prize at the fair if he owned the fair. I hate it but it's just true he doesn't have any real ideas to be Elected that are sensible. I don't even think he really wants to be elected he just wants the publicity and it keeps him busy perhaps. Plus he's ran for office more than anyone in politics in Mississippi distinction is nearing.

Shawn just got about 275,000 votes for state tres. Over 40% of the total votes. I know that was the yellow dawg dem vote but sooner or later the guy may get elected. If there's only two in the race you never know. Health issues could force oe out. Or the state may vote a straight ticket which put some in this past november that have no qualifications for their jobs.

We need to vote for the person people not the party all the time. Look at what each brings to the table. Vote based on that not if you know the name or he or she has a r or d by their name.

Also we need good qualified people to step up to the plate to run. But be careful you need money because qualifications alone gets you no where. You also have to have thick skin because you will be lied about and face negative ads.

My hat's off to shawn. He's in ever race and sooner or later the old guy may well win one. I don't know if he'll know what to do with it if he does. (kinda like the dog chasing the car. if it stops what does he do???)
