In spite of being a yank - I have heard this song before - but have not seen this video. I thought it was entertaining and maybe someone else would enjoy it!

There's a law in MS that if you can't pronounce Pascagoula you can't have this in your possession.;)

Heh heh heh I think Gauthier is Go Their.;) I heard those brilliant weathermen/women on tv pronouncing it Go ti err during Katrina. Pass a goula? I'm just having fun with ya yank. Hell I grew up in MS and can't pronounce half of those Indian names up in N. Mis'sipippi. And those French/Canadian names in La are a bear. I still stumble over Atchafalaya.

There is a story of a yankee and a Mississippi man were driving past and read the sign the yank said "that's a weird name Gau-Tier... No cap said the southern man that is pronounced go-shay... An argument ensued and the yankee who was driving wheeled across the interstate and drove back to the exit. He pulled down to the first business and jumped out and said follow me jacka$$ (you know those yankees can be rude at times...) they go in and the first man sitting he says excuse me my friend and I were having a discussion and being the idiot he is would you tell him where we are and say it real slow so he can comprehend... Startled the man realized who and what he was dealing with( Yankees you can't educate them no matter how much you try...) So he slowly and louder than normal "BUURRRGGERRR KIINNNNGGGG!":bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl:

I laughed real hard when MrsBB said,
"You gotta get on MH and see the
Ray Perkins thread" - I figured ole
Ray had lost his leg or something.

Then she said it was about a squirrel
revival and I started singing it..........
She said, "that's it" and I told her
that was Ray Stevens :-D, being old
and in the know about Bro Ray and
all his glorious tunes over the years.......

The video is really cute but my mind
always plays back to "Clyde the Camel" :kekeke:

BB my favorite was the haircut song... Being a logger since the ripe old age of 16 it was my favorite. I think I was 17 or 18 when it came out. We went to the "Great South Fair" at the fairgrounds. We were walking by the "carnies" (I called it rook row) when one of them almost grabbed me he was so aggressive in wanting me to play his game... I looked him square in the eye and said... "Uh, I'm a logger... Just up from Brooklyn, Mississippi... Been topping trees all day... Quite possibly the toughest man in the world!!!" Me and my girlfriend thought it was so hilarious because it took him a second to recover... We were almost screaming we were laughing so hard as we left him.. After he recovered he started a hyena laughing at us and did not quit until we were out of his sight...

Takes me back for sure!!!
