I looked for your picture in the HA but didn't see it! :) Several of the young ladies and gentlemen I recognized as the children of people I went to school with. Pretty cool to see since I haven't seen hardly any of them since graduation. :)

Zeus is a Krewe for Mardi Gras. Krewe of Zeus and Krewe of Elks are the local groups. Wilebill was refering to their annual ball.

If you mean Zeus, I don't "get it" either... I kinda agree with my dad on that one- no real man would willingly dress like that. I didn't grow up in a big Mardi Gras kinda family, so that may have something to do with it- but, I think the "balls" or Krewe of Zeus & Elks are just ridiculous parties with grown men in tights and men & women trying to reinforce the idea that they are richer and more important than others in the area. I think it's just silly.
