Steve Taylor & Nick Ortego have said that we have a good chance of getting severe weather tomorrow evening & night. Steve said that we could get large hail, long lived tornadoes, & wind damage from this weather system. I don't know about you, but I am sick of this bad weather! :smt118 Our power went out 3 times with that first round of storms, went out twice with the last round of storms. Anybody who lives in a mobile home needs to think about going to a family member or friend's house.:ohnoes:

I just want a break so the city can finish the project they've got going on in my front yard.
I awoke sunday morning at 8am to the sounds of heavy machinery backing up as they laid sandbags against my driveway to keep it from washing out from the then pending deluge. It would have been fine had I not gotten to bed at 4am.
The culverts are great for my kid to play in, though. Hell, I though about crawling through them a time or two... it's just so tempting. I did put him in one and roll it around the yard. He thought that was fun.
Just give me a week so the gas company can move the gas line so the city can finish... PLEASE!!!

We had a plumber here a few days ago to lay pipe to hook up to the City of Petal sewer system. Our yard is TORN UP! That big rain we got a couple days ago did not help matters any at all! we are going to have to pay someone to haul a couple loads of topsoil in the trenches & holes.:smt118

Well, I'm not a meteorologist, but I would think the heating of the day, if after say.... 10, would have a lesser effect on the intensity of the storms than it would be if it were around 5-7 pm....

Yeah, but what's on the radar isn't a lot of rain or anything else for that matter. Usually you can see a huge squall line when this kind of weather is predicted.

My family lives in Hernando and Horn Lake, near Memphis. A wall collapsed in a mall in Memphis, and lots of damage was done on Stateline Road in Southaven and Holmes Road just inside Memphis.
