Looks like John Brady is being fired midseason after the Tigers have struggled to an 8-13 record this year. Unless there is some other underlining reason (unethical conduct, etc), this firing seems dumb on its face -- in the school of David Cutcliffe. Brady has led the Tigers to a SEC title just two years ago, and repeated NCAA Tournament appearances, including either an Elite Eight or Final Four appearance in 2006.

He's certainly been a lot better than Dale Brown was during his final years in Baton Rogue.

Brady is an a$$hole. I can say that from personal experience.
He's a mediocre coach who has struggled to recruit on a consistent basis.

Hmmmmm, just thinking out loud here. Bobby Knight abruptly resigns at Texas Tech and now the LSU job is open.

Excerpt from story:"Now the rumors will begin about whether USC coach Tim Floyd will make the move back to the south."

Floyd would be crazy to leave USC. Better talent in Cali. more players to choose from.

And beat them just like Ole Miss did.

If I were coaching at USC, it would take an awful lot of money to get me to leave sunny So Cal for Baton Rouge, LA.

Didn't USM play LSU in the Coast Colliseum a few years back and beat them, when James Green was still the Coach?
