The apt industry in the burg has always been predatory at best. They will be in a world of hurt if/when we stop sending troops to Iraq. Prior to that there was nothign but vacancies signs everywhere.

I'm interested to see what the manisons on Beverly hills rd off west 7th street will be going for. That intersection and stretch of the long leaf trace is a mess.

Predatory? No one holds a gun at the lease signing. If you don't like the price, don't pay. There are plenty of places to rent on Katie Ave.

They will either go for $1000. or they will be like the ones by the Grand and will rent per room and how many roommate per apt.
It is really sad that we cant find any nice/ in a nice neighborhood for less than 800 to 1000 per month. No wonder I still live at home.

I'm about to sell my house, so I hope the high prices on rent and housing in general will work to my benefit.

I lived in Hillendale Apts. and Mark I in college and they were reasonable (2000-2003). I don't know about now. I also lived at Parkwest which was pretty expensive. But it was really nice and things got fixed pretty quickly.
What is the deal with the new houses on Hwy 42 going towards Petal?

I think it depends on what kind of house you are selling. If you are selling one that is under $100,000......it probably will go well. Over $120,000-- you may have a hard time.

It will be in the "hard time" range, but I've already had some interest and haven't even listed it yet, so maybe it will move pretty quick.
