Ok, guys. I have had a really bad ending to this week and I am looking to have a little fun. So here it goes....

We currently have (according to my count) 10,275 posts for the month of February. I would like to see us reach 11,500 by midnight on Sunday. That is a total of 1,225 posts, starting with right now. I think we can do it.

We generally have a lot of fun with these threads, there is no telling what kind of conversation we can generate.

Here are the RULES:

1. THERE IS A MAXIMUM BID ALLOWANCE OF 10 MILLION HUBBUCKS

2. You MAY NOT bet more than once.

I would really like to see us get to 12,000 posts by the end of the day on Sunday. IF that is done, I will give each person who posts in this thread some extra hubbucks.

Honey, I wanted to go see Untraceable while I was home, but went to Fool's Gold instead. I loved Fool's Gold and haven't laughed at a movie so much in a long time. I am hoping that Untraceable is still out when I get home. I might have to find someone to go with me though, it looks like it will be a scary one!

Nothin to it, Amanda! The driving is easy, it's the turning and stopping that get you in trouble... :smt118 Believe me, I had to learn the hard way... My first car was a ten year old 1981 Toyota Corolla. I wrecked it three times and got stuck more times than I can count. My grandpa called it thrasher. I rolled it twice and was t-boned onece. After the last wreck, both of the passenger side doors were caved in and the windows were broken out of them, so my grandpa took an old logging chain and wrapped it around the door frames and then hooked it to his 3/4 ton 1976 Ford truck and jerked some of the dent out of the frame. After that, he put plexi-glass in where the windows once were and sealed them up with orange spray foam. I drove that poor little car like that all through my senior year of high school and the next fall was finally able to buy me a little truck with four wheel drive. There are times when it is still pretty scary to drive on the ice, but most of the time it is not too bad if you just go slow and leave plenty of room to slow down and stop.

Hey Bayfly, that was Moses Pier, the reconstruction is not complete yet and after we were down there for a couple of hours, one of the state biologists came over to interview us and told us that most people were not fishing there yet becuase the PD still had their barricades up... We didn't think anything of it when we waltzed around them... :smt103There were a few others out there, but all we caught was sunshine. That's alright though, we had a great time! :smt023

No snow. We took a look at the ski resort here and decided against skiing here. I don't like to ski on ice. Too dangerous for me. Was a little dissappointed about the skiing but it has been so relaxing. And if you think our Walmarts are busy you should see this one. Oh my stars!

I was just wondering about those pictures last week. I will have to ask my mom and grandma if they have any... My grandpa scares me to death with his wintertime driving. :ohnoes: He just loves to pull the emergency brake so that it makes the car slide around the corner.... he also still loves doing broadys in the parking lot. It's all fun and games until you hit a light pole... or the cops show up... Have mercy, he is 78 years old and still loves driving like a teenager... I just love him and wouldn't change him for the world though! :-D

Thanks jmb. I took that one in the calm after the storm. the water trucks spray light layers of water onto the road surface, which freezes nearly instanly in these temperatures and helps to thicken, strengthen and smooth out the road. Ice roads are the smoothest roads that I have ever driven on. They are amazing they build them like engineered super highways and can move over a hundred million pounds across them and when they melt in the summer, you will never know that they were there... It is so amazing up here. I just love it! :clap: (mosts days anyway:smt118)

Thanks Baloo as I get older my recall is getting muddle usually don't forget fishing spots, but Katrina changed up a lot of my old memories , Out in marsh there is a lot of changes and some for better some for the worse. If anybody goes to La. marsh this winter be careful lots of low tides and stuff in water and don't run in fog.
