What keeps you going when you are feeling sad, or wanting to eat sweetie that you don't need. When your job is really bad and you just want to die...Just curious what keeps you going day to day.......

um...well I have 2 really good friends at work that make me laugh if something has me down. As far as eating sweets, I usually eat chocolate but sometimes that doesnt even do it. I either watch a movie that is funny or talk to friends or my mom and I am usually better by the end of the talk.

Well I have got the best job in the world. (I get paid way too much, I play Halo 2 online, I work on my Masters) I have a faithful and loving wife. My son is what I live my life for. My mother and father are people I revere. I have awesome family members. My friends are fun to be around. God has blessed me with two nice vehicles, a new house, and the wife gets to stay home. I very rarely get down.:) God is awesome.

My job is a JOB!! and I enjoy it and I come to work everyday..
I worry about folks that seem that their job is just not their cup of tea, regardless of income.
Diet Coke is my upper!!!
I do not like to see my hubby sad, and I try to keep him going.
Come to think of it......I am more of a "Get Going person" than a "Come help me person"

When I am feeling sad, I think of my son and the good times we've had together. I have even pulled out the video and photos from when he was a itty, bitty baby.

When I want to eat sweets, I am not very strong. I usually eat them. :(

And for the most part, I love my job. I love what I do. I think it's important. Sometimes it can be very stressful, but overall, I feel I am very fortunate.

Wanting to build a house, and knowing that I have to have money.

Coffee.

A dad who calms me down when I'm upset and encrouages me. And who has had a LOT more experience in dealing with people than I have, and gives me very good advice.

When I get stresssed out, I just eat more Girl Scout cookies, then I feel bad about myself so I have to go to the gym a few times to get my self-esteem back! :(

I come on here, vent, and get it off my chest.

I call friends to vent.

I vent some more.

I go to the coffee shop with my friend.

After I'm done venting, I go focus on things that interest me and have nothing to do with work or stress.

I play chess against my computer, and occasionally win.

I start little projects and see them through, like remodeling the house, or sometimes just cleaning out a closet.

I read.

I ride my motorcycle around the neighborhood. It's being worked on right now, so sometimes I just sit on the other one that I'm not allowed to ride and make it go "Vroom vrooom!"

I look at cool stuff on Ebay.

I can have a shiddy day at work but as long as I have something good to focus on when the day is over I always go to bed in a good mood.

Knowing that I'm in a better situation than 90% of America. Only Debt I have is my house and it will be paid off by the time i'm 35 (i'm 23 now). And I just keep reminding myself, I am working towards being very well off when I retire!

One good thing about being older is that you realize no situation is forever. I have a lot more patience to just wait things out than I used to -- that helps a lot. The other thing is knowing that people depend on you, so you have to keep moving and doing, even if not very well.
And the "knee-time" BB mentioned helps most of all. In fact, my most regular prayer is "Help!"
