"An apparent on-campus shooting at East Central Community College triggered a brief student alert but school officials say classes have now resumed. The junior college's public relations department said that while the campus was locked down briefly, there are no more security concerns.
It was unclear whether the incident in the vicinity of Neshoba Hall on the Decatur campus in east Mississippi involved more than one person or if anyone was harmed.
Officials said the college's president planned to release a statement. Police could not immediately be contacted for comment.
The campus alert was posted on the school's Web site."
