Seven in 10 Americans see Obama as the likely Democratic nominee.
In a poll taken February 21-24, Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents say by 2-1 that Obama has the better chance of beating the Republican nominee in November.
Republicans agree. By more than 3-1, they say likely GOP nominee John McCain has a better chance of beating Clinton than Obama.
If the election were held today:
Obama - 49%
McCain - 45%
McCain - 49%
Clinton - 47%

I really wish the Republican race had been more heated. Obama/Clinton gets all the press, and that's basically free advertising.

The Republican Running mate will make a BIG difference! Could be Haley? Someone wants him at www.drafthaley.com

The choice of running mates for both candidates should be interesting.

Not enough of one...and Haley has said that he's not the one. Having been intimately involved with the RNC, he says he knows that the governor of a southern state isn't going to get it done.

I don't think he's the one for the GOP. But who would Obama chose? Who would run with hillary? Should be interesting

I heard somewhere that he's going to pick whatshername from Kansas...Kathleen Sebelius I think is her name. Hillary, I don't have a clue. Honestly, I don't think we'll ever get the chance to find out! =)
McCain, I don't think it will matter who he picks as a running mate. It isn't going to help. He's old and has a horrible temper.

McCain is a hard person to connect with. GOP Infighting will be the reason Obama becomes the next President without some Miracle.

Last I heard, McCain would beat Hillary but lose to Obama. The election is still months away.

Honestly, I don't see McCain winning, no matter WHO he's running against. :(
