Huckabee drops out of presidential race (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080305/ts_nm/usa_politics_republicans_huckabee_dc_3)
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee abandoned his U.S. presidential bid on Tuesday after voting in four more state contests made it clear his rival, Arizona Sen. John McCain, would be the Republican candidate in the November election.

I hate that he wasn't more successful as well. I think he would have been a good president.

Well I told the Obama folks it wasn't over yet and that Hillary could take the nomination. It's going all the way to the Dem. Convention. Not good for the Dems.:-D Now McCain has to figure out how to keep his name in the news. Won't be easy with the Dem. battle going on. But he can look Presidential while the two combatants act like animals, tearing each other apart.

Obama needs to come out swinging, in my opinion. Hillary has done her best to bring up crap that has already been dealt with. It seems as though it worked for her. Now is the time for Obama to pull out every card he possibly can and bring her to her knees.

As I said earlier, McCain is nothing more than an angry, old, guy. I can envision him screaming at some kids to, "get of my damn lawn!" Maybe he'll go off on a rant, or knock out a camera man. That's about the only way I see him making headlines in the upcoming weeks, unless he chooses a running mate. He's going to have to find one damn good running mate to get MY vote. If he doesn't, I do not see myself voting in the general election this fall. Sure, he'll have people endorse him, but what's the point now? Bush is going to do just that today. With all of the anti-Bush sentiment, does McCain really want closely associated with President Bush?

Everyone, Hillary Clinton is clearly the more beatable candidate in November. Hillary is one of the polarizing figures in American politics today, and her nomination will fire up the Republican base more than John McCain ever could. Although Obama I think is even more liberal (and dangerous) than Hillary, he is seem as imminently more likeable and charismatic. Rather than listening to world tell us how far America hasn't come, I fear many Republican voters will stay home in November and thus give a nominee Obama the election.

Ha! TDB as long as McCain keeps drapping his arms around Bush - even Mickey Mouse would win in November. :)
