Does anyone else find it amazing that more than Shawn O'Hara received more than 118,000 votes in the MS Senate election? Are people starting to become that familiar with his name that they just decided to go ahead and vote for him? I must admit that I actually voted for him this time around, simply because I was familar with his name and not his opponent's.

I donno... I think it's funny. I voted for him b/c I though it was funny. I'd like to see him in congress. He might have a heart attack if he actually WON an election...
I know this whole deal is giving TDBeavers fits, though... Shawn O'Hara got more votes than him... LOL!!!
Just kidding ya', TDB.
On one voting machine last night, O'Hara came within 4 votes of defeating Fleming.

Which is a few more votes than Ron Paul got. Just kidding, but seriously. It did feel good to vote for Ron Paul.

Well, with all due respect O'Hara had 81 more counties to get all those extra votes. This race was not much more than a choice between "Tweedle Dee" and "Tweedle Dumb". Although Fleming served a couple of terms in the Legislature, neither of them will have a shot against Senator Cochran, and while Fleming will get the hard core Democrat vote (35-38% in Mississippi), he will get nothing more.
The closer race this year will certainly be the Musgrove-Wicker race, and in it, I still believe Wicker will win by at least a 55-45 margin.
OHara's gonna win something one day.
I didn't vote in any elections other than President.

I think the O'Hara vote is mostly "I'm not voting for this guy, so I'll vote for this idiot instead" protest vote kinda thing. He's just gotten recognition as the guy to whom you're going to throw away your vote, if that's what you're going to do.

I donno... I really want to send him to some office... he can't be any more of a disappointment than some of the other idiots we've elected.
