This is an ever depressing time of the year for me. I don't know about ya'll but I think taxes are the devil. I hate the tax code, I hate having to sort/file errything all year long just to prove to Uncle Sam that I really am as broke as I say... Hello, all he has to do is look at my checkbooks and he can see for himself that they are experiencing technical difficulties. Thank God for the little tax breaks we got now cause I can only imagine it will only be worse next year if any of those three boneheads running for president have their way...

One good thing about all this is that I no longer need a reminder as to why I won't be voting for Tax Hike Hussein... I mean Obama... or Bill C.'s ol lady... Can't say that McCain is anyworse or any better but at least he has said that he would make my tax breaks permanent... and if he don't, well, we'll just have to fire him and get another pres. in four years.:smt023

You have my complete sympathy. Complete. I already called the accounting folks and suggested they file an extension -- I also have to get stuff together for a family member and it's such a hassle. Of course, if I would write things down and file things through the year, it would be so simple. But noooooo -- as a friend used to say, "why do it the easy way, when the hard way's just as easy" -- but it's not!!

I hate doing taxes with a passion, but I'm sure enjoying the refund. :)

Yes, I would too, but my wife seems to have misplaced the envelope from the bank where they had to copy all the receipts for my $75,000 upgrade for the farm... 100% deductible and half of it was for 07 and the other half for 08... but can't find it.. I told her if she don't find it she needs to get her a good divorce attorney... jus kiddn' I'll find em...

I feel your pain. I had to dig for several items. Has she looked under the bed? :) Seriously, hope you find it soon.
