Ok, I've been renting for my entire life and decided to take the plunge into home buying. The other day we were signing the mortgage papers and i could feel the butterflies flying around LOL. I'm excited also but just nervous because I've never done anything like this before. We plan on making an offer today on a house.

My wife is driving me crazy and if she doesn't chill I'll be living in the crazy house. :kekeke:

Congrats!!! You will feel a lot better when you realize that those monthly payments REPRESENT something (equity) rather than nothing. Also, if you did it right, your mortgage payments should be WAY lower than renting any house.

Thanks.

We have a really cheap rent (know the landlord) so the payments are going to be about the same. :smt023

I remember my first home purchase may 28th 1998. I still have the 24 oz miller lite beer can on my mantle. After signing the deal I stopped by the jr food and bought me a cold one. I was a nervous wreck. Almost 10 years later I'm still a nervous wreck about owning a house. As I sit here and watch the squirrels come in and out of my walls it even makes me more stressed out.

Wait till the day you need a new sewer line put in, a tree limb goes through your roof, your wooden fence gets torn down, the house needs painting, the hot water heater needs to be replaced, the dishwasher will not drain, the lawn mower stops running, you break the handle on the rake, birds in the chimney, the stains dont come out of the carpet anymore, the cermanic tile gets cracked, the dam washing machine will not turn off, your neighbors tree crashes down on top of your chain link fence, the squirrel make fun of you while you watch them out the window

175.00 power bill, 25.00 pest control bill, 25.00 water & garbage bill, gas for the lawn mower, bought a weed eater yet?, can you call the A/C repair man? Bought furnace filters lately?

Good morning squirrels would you like a cup of coffee?

Off the old richton rd area...north of EGP if this house works out. There is another off Corinth road that we like if the first one doesn't pan out.

I forgot the most important thing.. $145.00 a month for taxes and insurance.. :smt105 That's your fault. You had a decent enough place to live, but nnnoooo :smt009 you had to move and buy your own. I was mowing your grass, fixing your a/c and you did NOT have animals living in your roof. Remember. You were having fun back then but decided to grow up-nah nah  I just had to remind you of the good old days.:kekeke:
