I hope it doesn't rain for the Race for the Cure in the morning. *sigh* The shirt is white. Perhaps that presents even more reason for men to participate. :smt118

Sounds like the Race for the Cure has the potential to become a Wet T-Shirt Contest. :smt105

Unfortunately, yes. It goes on rain or shine (although I've never participated in one when it's rained...the threat of rain doesn't really happen in Nevada).

Awww Honey, I hope the weather is clear for Prom, my son went to a Winter Formal out here in AZ last year and it was one of the few stormy nights. They ended up coming home early because everyone was miserable and damp and cold. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

According to the Clarion-Ledger, there have been reports of several possible tornadoes in the metro Jackson area (http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080404/NEWS/80404013).

This is in addition to the damage reported in Vicksburg.

Just got off the phone with our youngest daughter - she lives outside of Brandon (in the reservoir north area) - they had terrible winds and heavy rain - 3 tornados alleged in the area but the only damage they have was a bunch of tree limbs down. Her husband works for Bell South (err AT&T) in Pearl as an ET, but he doesn't go into work until 4 PM and hasn't been called in early, so damage must not be too heavy.

Hope everyone stays safe up there!

The sunshine has been replaced with clouds at our house, with a few rain sprinkles.

I can handle rain.

My significant other called and said that a Toyota dealership in Jackson was destroyed. I called Mom in Newton and she said winds at 2pm were about 80 miles an hour. A tornado about 17 years ago dumped a large tree on Mom's bedroom right after she went to work. She was interviewed on Meridian television station and all she said was "Thank God, all my dolls are o.k."
That's my Mom for ya.

Did it storm bad in Hatt/Petal last night? I fell asleep probably before 10 last night and didn't wake up until 10 this morning, except for one bathroom run at 3 a.m. I didn't notice any thunder or lightning when I was up.

We missed a good portion of it. At one point, before we went to bed at 2am, there was a circle about 40 miles wide of clear weather with Hattiesburg being in the center.

We got missed. again.
