View Full Version : I'm just calling to say don't call me
I just ordered some maternity clothing from jcpenney.com. During the checkout process, they asked me if I would like to receive promotional offers via email, and I said no. Then I received this email:
While registering as a shopper with jcpenney.com, you chose not to receive our promotional Email. This is being sent to confirm that *********@comcast.net will not receive Email from jcpenney.com.
WHAT?!? :laugh::laugh::laugh:
It goes on....

Mac,
It has gotten dang ridiculous with emails. I've got 3 different emails now b/c my first one is over ridden with junk. I hate it opening to 200 new emails, all of them crap. I would totally forget it but I have to make sure I get the fifty times forwarded flying Angel that my mother always sends me.:smt118:smt118 It doesn't bother me at all that she refuses to delete all the forward crap.:kekeke:

I got a email for viagra immediately followed by a email for BBW in the Hattiesburg area.
What kind of message is that supposed to send me.
It's not that I'm opposed to fat chicks.......
I better stop this post while I'm ahead.

Oh, that really sucks! JCPenney used to be a better store than they are now. I wonder just how many companies they have sold customer info to?
I love JC Penney. It just tripped me out that they sent me an email to confirm that I didn't want them to send me any emails. "Unnecessary" comes to mind, but isn't quite the word I'm looking for.
I guess the thread title should've been, "I'm just calling to say I won't be calling."

How did they get your e-mail address? (Duh! Now I see the "jcpenny.COM" part. My bad.)
When a store clerk asks me for my e-mail (or phone number), I usually just stand there and stare blankly at them until they get uncomfortable and go away. Surprisingly, it doesn't take very long.....

Mac, I shop online with Penney's all the time, and haven't had any problems getting extra junk email. (I do get "promotional" offers from them, but sometimes I want to see those anyway.)

Online marketing is up......Online sales are up. Get ready to get spammed to death. All of this because of the price of gasoline.

It just freaks me out that mac is pregnant. Not that I don't think she'd make a great mom. It's just that when I think of her interacting with children I picture a crazy old aunt that calls 'em squirts & smokes through a hole in her throat.

You dirty ba$tard! I would resent you for that if it hadn't made me laugh out loud.
One of my students said my kids are gonna have bad nerves from me yelling at them all the time.
