Hi everyone,

I'm new to Hattiesburg and this seems to be where everyone gets their info. I've noticed that the local news only has one anchor in the evening...is that always the case or is someone on vacation? I just moved from Texas and our news always had a male/female team. Sorry for posting this question in the "Introduce yourself" section, but the site won't let me post anywhere else!

Welcome.
Our local NBC affiliate, WDAM did have a male/female anchor team up until a couple of months ago. The female, Pam Weaver was offered a position at another station-I forget where. They have yet to replace her. To bad, she was pretty good at her job.

Hot Pamela Weaver left a few months ago she worked with Randy Swann on the 6 oclock edition.

They have lots of turn over and it appears they havent found someone to replace her.

Welcome!

I think Pam Weaver went to work in Delbert Hosemans office. I think she's his press secretary or something like that. Delbert is the Secretary of State.

OH, welcome to the site CMW33

JMC, you must have been at the Founder's Day thingy, which I missed. I saw PW at the big fancy fol-de-rol ceremony with all the caps & gowns and bagpipes. No hamburgers, darn -- cookies and punch.

Welcome to MH! I just moved here about 2 months ago and noticed that too. I chalked it up to it being a small town and small budget station. I liked the banter that 2 people provide, but with as little as goes on here 30 minutes is about twice as long as they need to cover news, weather and a little entertainment segment.

She doesn't do TV anymore - She's Delbert Hoseman (????) Sec. of State (???) assistant...
